A short note to accompany a photograph of a coffee-pot I bought last week. I am delighted with it, never having seen a Richard Wright coffee-pot before. This one stands about ten inches tall to the top of its finial, has the characteristic Wright insulating grommet in the handle, and the stamped Wright mark followed by 7446 2 PINT. The decoration is hand-engraved and well-worn. The lid, clearly, is quite different from the ‘Moroccan’ dome lid that Wright used on his teapots, but the effect is pleasing.

hello, May i send you a Picture of a Coffee Pot by RW 7448 2 pint bought today?
kind regards, JF
es, I’d be interested to see it. Send it to martin.rose@magd.oxon.org
Have you seen my long article on Wright in the Journal of North African Studies v27/1 Jan 2022?
Best wishes, Martin Rose
